Artnet News: Connor Tingley presents "Nun Series" with Ori Gallery at Scope Art Show
Painting of a ghostly, white-robed figure standing in shallow dark-blue water. The figure’s face is blank with simple white eye marks, and a long teal-blue patterned strip runs down the robe. Loose white line drawings outline a veil or head covering over the figure. In the background, a rocky blue cliff rises on the left, low hills sit on the horizon, and the sky is a warm brown gradient. To be featured at Scope Art Show.

At the heart of this push toward connection and the humanistic side of the fair is an expansive series of installations as well as lineup gallery presentation that invite visitors to stop and focus on the present moment. Spotlighting works that immerse the viewer and engage with themes of community, interior worlds, storytelling, and presentness, they simultaneously highlight some of the most exciting artists and galleries today.

Presentations slated include Connor Tingley presenting his ongoing “Nun Series” with Ori Gallery. Thoughtful and meditative, the project offers a still moment in the context of the Miami Art Week hubbub. At Pirovino, MCSK’s Replicatio: States of Collapse (2025) is a human-A.I. collaborative installation that delves into the effects on attention, memory, and emotion under algorithmic conditions. At Richard Beavers Gallery, the artist Desmond Beach illuminates the intersection of Black American experience with material histories, as well as the role of storytelling within craft traditions.
